Welcome to my newest passion and one that sits deeply within my heart center. Recording meditations was born from my own needs as a new parent and as a mama of a NICU survivor. My sweet girl was born in July 2017. She was full term - four days overdue and was healthy as could be for her first three hours. Once we moved into the third hour, a series of events happened in her body that placed her on emergency and immediate life support. My little warrior survived and thrived under the care of her neonatologists, the wonderful staff in the NICU and the life saving medical interventions that helped our sweet baby get through her first ordeal/life adventure. Once home, it was clear she was traumatized from the experience and was a high touch baby that we couldn't put down for nearly 6 weeks.
As a therapeutic yoga instructor who has lead almost daily meditations for years, I started to apply my background intuitively to help de-stress and down-regulate her nervous system and it worked - slowly and most of the time, she is a baby after all! I noticed the meditations I would lead calmed her down and also helped center and ground me as well, which as a parent, let alone a new parent was priceless. It was so helpful to us that I felt compelled to share these meditations and evolve them.
I am passionate about introducing mindfulness early. To gift your child exposure to mindfulness and the empowerment of conscious breathing is giving them a skill set that will be carried throughout their life. On this page, you'll find meditations that can be used with babies, toddlers and school age children, families and adult self care, too!
